Al-Mg-Si alloys

Al-Mg-Si alloys (6xxx series) are age-hardenable aluminum alloys with magnesium and silicon as the main alloying elements. Targeted heat treatment allows strength and ductility to be adjusted over a wide range, making them attractive for structural components in lightweight design.
