Cr(VI)-Free
Cr(VI)-free refers to surfaces and coating systems in which the proportion of hexavalent chromium is below the legally permitted limit (typically ≤ 0.1 percent by weight or ≤ 0.1 µg Cr(VI)/cm²). Such systems comply with directives such as RoHS, ELV, and REACH and are considered significantly less critical for the environment and health than classic Cr(VI) chromate conversion coatings.
