Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) report

A Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) report (EMPB) is a supplier's evidence that its coatings meet the customer's required quality standards under series-production conditions. First-sample inspection is common practice above all in the automotive industry and can follow various standards, such as IATF 16949, where sampling requirements are governed by the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) of the Automotive Industry Action Group. PPAP documentation is comparatively involved but serves as a key quality proof point before series start.
