Industry solution
Surface Solutions for Medical Technology Components
Components for medical technology require precisely defined, reproducible surfaces – from instruments to housing parts. As your development partner, we work with you to develop the right surface solution for your component’s material, geometry and documented requirements.
Overview
Suitable Processes for Medical Technology
Electroless Nickel delivers a uniform, satin-matte layer with precisely defined thickness – independent of component geometry. This makes the process the first choice whenever every batch must be documented.
For housing and functional parts made from aluminium, Anodizing / Hard-Anodizing and Passivation provide additional corrosion protection and defined surface properties for further processing.

What Medical Technology Manufacturers Come to Us For
Reproducible layer thickness for components subject to documentation requirements
Every batch must achieve the same layer thickness, traceably, regardless of batch size or component geometry. Electroless Nickel deposits uniformly without an external current, even on complex shapes and in bores.
Solution: Electroless Nickel
Hard, low-wear functional surfaces for reusable instruments
Instruments that are used and reprocessed repeatedly need a hard, corrosion-resistant surface. Through thermal post-treatment, Electroless Nickel achieves hardness values above 1000 HV.
Solution: Electroless Nickel
Lightweight housings and components made from aluminium
Mobile and portable devices increasingly rely on aluminium. The ceramic anodised layer reliably protects against corrosion and contact corrosion without noticeably increasing the component’s weight.
Solution: Anodizing / Hard-Anodizing
Reproducible surface pretreatment before assembly and further processing
Before bonding, coating or assembly, aluminium components require a defined, reproducibly prepared surface. Coordinated cleaning and passivation reduces processing residues and creates a uniform conversion coating as a basis for further processing.
Solution: Cleaning and Passivation of Aluminium
Quality & process reliability
Documented Processes, Not Promises
Even before production begins, we develop cross-functional risk analyses (FMEAs). Our quality management system and ongoing product and process monitoring ensure the reproducibility that documentation-intensive industries such as medical technology require.
Our management systems are certified to IATF 16949, ISO 14001 and ISO 50001. The certificates document the respective scopes. More on quality and environment.
View certificatesWhat we expressly do not replace: approval, biocompatibility testing and sterilisation clearance for your finished product remain your responsibility as the manufacturer. Our contribution is the metal surface that creates the right conditions for this – with reproducible results and documented process monitoring.
